Before birth
Getting ready
We meet, talk through your hopes and worries, and make a plan you feel good about. I share positions and balancing practices you can use in the weeks before birth.

Calm, steady support for English-speaking families through pregnancy, birth and the first weeks after.
Hi, I'm Bayla
I'm a certified doula, and my job is simple: to make sure you feel supported, informed and never alone. I trained through the Guiding Hands Doula Fellowship and in Spinning Babies techniques.
I get to know you before the birth, stay with you through labor, and check in once your baby is home.
Before birth
We meet, talk through your hopes and worries, and make a plan you feel good about. I share positions and balancing practices you can use in the weeks before birth.
During birth
I'm with you through active labor: comfort, positions, and a calm voice in the room. I help you understand what's happening so nothing feels confusing.
After birth
A visit once you're home to help with feeding, rest and the small questions nobody warns you about.
Gentle positions and movements that help your baby find a good path for birth. I'm trained in Spinning Babies techniques.
Gentle hands-on work that eases pelvic and back pain and gives your baby more room. Trained in person by its founder, Rachel Shapiro Davies. Your Kupah may cover part of it.
Breathing, touch, counter-pressure and positions that make contractions easier to work with.
We talk, you ask anything, no pressure.
We get to know each other and shape your birth plan together.
Around your due date I'm a phone call away.
I'm with you in labor, then visit once you're home.
A doula gives continuous emotional and physical support before, during and after birth. I help you prepare, stay with you through labor with comfort measures and positions, and check in once you're home. A doula doesn't give medical care; your midwife and doctors do that, and I work alongside them.
Many Kupot (Kupat Holim, the Israeli health funds) reimburse part of a doula's fee, depending on your Kupah and your plan. I'll walk you through how to claim on our first call.
I support births at Hadassah Ein Kerem, Hadassah Har HaTzofim (Mount Scopus), Shaarei Tzedek (Shaare Zedek) and Assaf Harofeh (Shamir Medical Center). If you're planning to give birth somewhere else, ask me and we'll see what works.
I work with families in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, Modiin and the surrounding areas.
Send me a message with your due date, and we'll find a time for a free, no-pressure call.
